Today's content is heavily centered on Mingtang, which is why I dedicated a special caption to explaining its concept. Also worth mentioning is the omake – the knowledge system of the Qin Tian Jian has always been about upholding fundamental principles, never merely focusing on the immediate present.
MingTang — Heaven's light illuminates humanity, the earth responds with the Hall
The term "MingTang" originally did not refer to a fixed building, but rather a ritualized projection of celestial phenomena onto the human realm.
In the heavens, there exists the brightest star within the Ziwei Enclosure —
Whenever Jupiter (Suixing) or Venus (Taibai) aligned with this luminous point in the enclosure,
the Qin Tian Jian would submit a memorial: “Heaven’s brilliance is centered; it is fitting to display enlightened virtue.”
Thus, the imperial court would hold a grand assembly and conduct ceremonies in the MingTang.
It was only in later eras that "MingTang" evolved into a ritual architectural structure (often located in the southern suburbs), symbolizing “Heaven’s illumination descending upon the human world.”
The “Ming” (明) in MingTang does not signify the light of lamps, but rather the radiance of the celestial enclosure and the clarity of ceremonial order.
The “Tang” (堂) does not merely denote a hall, but rather human order established in accordance with the heavens.
The Celestial Stewards — Truth is witnessed, heaven and earth testify. No empty words, only how celestial signs manifest in motion. The Almanac Twelve Gods (aka Jianchu Twelve Gods) are not fabricated — they are observed.
